Role:

The Djibouti embassy is a diplomatic mission representing the Republic of Djibouti government and promotes its interests. It plays a crucial role in maintaining diplomatic relations, assists its citizen abroad and facilitates various forms of international cooperation.

To represent efficiently the government of the Republic of Djibouti, foster diplomatic relations, promote its interests and assist our citizens abroad.

Vision:

To promote the values, the policies and advance national goals of the Republic of Djibouti in Kenya.

Objectives:

Our main objective is to act as the official representative of the Republic of Djibouti in Kenya by promoting bilateral relations, safeguarding the interests of our citizens and facilitating diplomatic efforts. The embassy therefore, serves as a vital channel for communication, negociations and cooperation among our nations.

Bilateral relations between Kenya and Djibouti

Cultural events between Kenya and Djibouti often center around regional cooperation and youth engagement. Examples include peace seminars focused on youth and the environment, as well as discussions about the African Union’s framework on youth, peace, and security. Both nations are also involved in broader regional initiatives like the Eastern Africa Standby Force and are founding members of COMESA and IGAD.
